Happy Almost Halloween!!

do you get dressed I was in a bah humbug kind of Halloween mood. I feel like Halloween just keeps expanding and expanding and expanding. There’s a Halloween party every weekend in October, goodness gracious! However. At least it’s a holiday about sweets. 😉

Speaking of sweets, my mom used to make chocolate chip cookies when I was a kid. They have always been among my favorite treats. Have you done them before?

I kind of spiced them up by putting candy in the middle for a little surprise when you bite into it. And you never know what kind of candy you’re going to bite into, hence the “surprise” crinkle cookies.

The cookie above has half a miniature Milky Way galaxy inside. I love the ooey gooey caramel in the middle. I went a little nuts and tried M&M’s, Twix, Crunch Bar, Reese’s, Almond Joy… you name it. I think the Milky Way was my favorite. 🙂

After the madness of Halloween, you need to make these cookies to use up all your candy lying around. You will fall in love instantly.
