Having some gorgeous turnip greens and pears on hand from the farmer’s market, I was thrilled to stumble upon this recipe that uses both in their natural state! I loved the combination of the sweet cubes of ripe, tender pear with the crisp texture of the kohlrabi and the drizzle of the tart-sweet vinaigrette.

I had some peppery arugula on hand, so these are the greens I used as the base for the salad. I highly recommend this salad! It tasted great as an accompaniment to a quick, spicy shrimp and peanut pan with rice noodles.–Anna S

After reading the testers’ reviews I felt free to pursue some ideas so we can make this at home using the ingredients. We were missing tomatoes and fresh basil but it turned out great although we would have enjoyed the full amount of tomatoes and basil. My garlic was browning quickly (probably my oil was too hot) so I removed it from the pan before I got blisters on the tomatoes.

We tossed our tomato mix with some blanched sugar snap peas and served with orzo. A healthy meal on the table in less than 25 minutes after I turn on the oven to preheat.– Maria Johanna

this is that best vegetarian chili I’ve ever done it (and I’ve been cooking vegetarian since the late 70’s). It’s hearty, rich and fragrant. I love the combination of cinnamon and unsweetened cocoa.
