Easy BBQ dinner ideas
I love how easy and simple grilling is. Just throw your food on the grill, check occasionally, and you’re ready to eat!
And who wants to stay inside and cook on a nice warm summer evening? Not me! I prefer to spend time with my family outside – maybe even with a refreshing drink in hand. 🙂
If that sounds like your situation, here are some healthy, easy dinner recipes you can make on the grill!
Grilled chimichurri shrimp
Chimichurri sauce doubles as a marinade and sauce for these skewers and is loaded with cilantro-garlic-lime flavor.
The chimichurri sauce can be made ahead of time, so all you have to do on a busy weeknight is to toss shrimp in the sauce and throw it on the grill!
Orange Juice BBQ Chicken Sandwiches
This Orange Juice BBQ Sauce is my new favorite summertime meal!
It’s flavorful, sweet, smoky, and super easy to make. You can also make the gravy ahead of time for a quick weeknight dinner!
Grill the chicken breasts instead of baking them for an easy and delicious dinner.
Grilled pork tenderloin tacos
These grilled pork tacos (plus the homemade salsa verde) are delicious.
The pork itself is super easy, too—it’s marinated in a simple combination of salt, pepper, lime juice, and cumin. That’s it!
Then just throw it on the grill and get ready to enjoy.
Honey Lime Chicken with Grilled Peach and Corn Salad
This is a refreshing summer salad that’s delicious and filling, but doesn’t feel heavy. It’s also super easy to make – great for entertaining!
I love the combination of sweet grilled corn and peaches with tangy lime marinated chicken and lots of fresh herbs.
Grilled shrimp and pineapple skewers with coconut quinoa
These shrimp skewers are SO quick and easy to make on the grill.
The ginger soy marinade paired with sweet pineapple reminds me of teriyaki sauce and the addition of coconut milk to quinoa enhances the flavor even more. We’re definitely going to be doing this all summer long!
Curried turkey burger with mint yoghurt sauce
Say hello to the tastiest turkey burger recipe ever! These ground turkey burgers are made with curry powder, cumin and herbs and topped with a creamy yogurt mint sauce that’s super easy to make.
These healthy turkey burgers are sure to be a hit at your next summer cookout!
Blackened salmon tacos
Crispy, blackened salmon and succulent mango habanero salsa come together for a delicious grilled salmon taco recipe!
The salmon can be either stovetop or grilled blackened—either way, it’s perfect. Just add your favorite taco toppings and give it a go.
Grilled chicken with watermelon
Watermelon and chicken might seem like an odd combination, but I can assure you it’s absolutely delicious (and super summery)! The balsamic glaze complements the sweet and savory flavor combination.
You’ll want to make this easy grilled chicken recipe all summer long! Simply serve with your favorite side dishes for the perfect BBQ dinner.
Seared Ahi Tuna Tacos
If you’re looking for a unique BBQ recipe that’s a little different from the typical dish, try these Seared Tuna Tacos! The outside is perfectly seasoned and crispy while the inside remains tender.
The creamy jalapeno slaw adds another flavor boost that makes this recipe a must-try.
Shrimp, Feta and Cucumber Orzo Salad
I love simple and fresh pasta salads and this one with crunchy cucumber and fresh dill hits the spot. For an even more summery flavor, you can easily grill the shrimp instead of roasting them!
Easy Grilled Lentil Veggie Burgers
These veggie burgers are my go-to veggie option for summer BBQs.
They’re so easy to make: just toss everything in the food processor! Plus, they’re a lot tastier than store-bought veggie burgers.
If you’re worried about the burgers falling apart on the grill, simply place foil on the grill grate before loading the burgers to keep everything together.
Grilled Italian sausage and vegetable foil packets
Foil wraps make grilling smaller items (like sausage slices, potatoes, and veggies) a lot easier. Talk about easy cleaning!
Simply place all the ingredients in a foil wrapper, throw on the grill and enjoy.
Grilled Greek lamb burgers
These lamb burgers are loaded with flavor Inside The burger thanks to ingredients like feta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes and Kalamata olives. Feel free to swap turkey, chicken or ground beef for ground lamb – it’s your choice.
Grilled steak and strawberry salad
Fruity salads are perfect for summer – especially those with strawberries! This sweet and savory salad is a great, light but filling summer meal.
The strawberry vinaigrette provides a delicious, tart flavor and the green and red onions add a slight crunch. It is definitely one of my favorite summer recipes!
Jamaican jerk turkey burgers with pineapple salsa
Turkey burgers don’t have to be dry and boring! These are packed with flavor thanks to tangy Jamaican jerk seasoning, perfectly complemented by bright and fresh pineapple salsa.
Simply grill the turkey burgers instead of cooking them on the stovetop. Be sure to make extra pineapple salsa for serving everything all week long. 🙂
Seared salmon with watermelon salsa
Can you tell I’m a fan of fruit salsas? They’re so summery and fresh, and I love the mix of sweet and savory in summer dishes.
This watermelon salsa is a great accompaniment to seasoned salmon, which you can easily grill instead of fry. Simply place the salmon on a sheet of aluminum foil (or cedar board) on the cooking grate to keep it from sticking!
