Creamy beef with mushroom ingredients
You can probably tell from the title alone that this recipe is pretty easy. It doesn’t take many ingredients to make this great recipe – and that’s the beauty of it! All you need to make this crowd favorite dish is:
beef tenderloin. This recipe calls for sirloin, a steak cut from the back of the cow. Sirloin is a lean cut – meaty, flavorful and perfect for the recipe we’re making today. For this beef with mushrooms, we use about 2 pounds of it. While I like to eat them in thin slices so they’re easier to prepare and enjoy, you can also dice them or cut them into fine strips.
\Mushrooms. There are so many types of mushrooms that it’s hard to decide which type to use in specific dishes! Depending on the flavor intensity you want, you can choose from a variety of options. For this creamy beef with mushrooms, I like to use button mushrooms—arguably one of the easiest to source. Mushrooms are small and round, much like the mushrooms we named them after. They have a milder taste, especially when compared to flat mushrooms or shiitake mushrooms. But this mild flavor is the perfect partner for your delicious and smoky beef – neither overpowering nor overpowering.
Knorr mushroom cream. A creamy mushroom sauce for this dish just wouldn’t be complete without the delicious Knorr mushroom cream! While we typically use this for a classic comforting mushroom soup, this blend gives our dish the creaminess we’re desperately looking for. This Knorr mushroom cream contributes to this rich, umami Mushroom flavor that makes your dish even more delicious!
Parsely. With a hint of earthy tones, parsley is a great addition to your creamy beef with mushrooms. It has an all-round pure flavor that permeates most of the mushroom’s flavors while complementing them. A tablespoon of this chopped herb makes all the difference in this hearty and filling dish.

The result is a timelessly delicious dish; The addition of whipped cream and mayonnaise certainly couldn’t hurt either!
How to prepare creamy beef with mushrooms
When preparing your creamy beef with mushrooms, we first make sure that your beef is as juicy as possible. This is done by first melting 3 tablespoons of butter in a pan and then adding cooking oil. Add your garlic slices; We need about a head of this to really get the maximum nutty and delicious flavor. Sauté the garlic until brown, then add the onions. Cook until tender, then add the sirloins. Cook, stirring, until the sides of the beef turn brown.
Pour in a cup of water before covering the pan. Set the heat to low and continue cooking for about 35 minutes. Not only does this add the garlic and onion flavor to your dish, it also ensures that it is fork tender.
When your 35 minutes is up, add 8 ounces of mushrooms and stir. Meanwhile, combine 1 cup of water and 1 packet of Knorr Cream of Mushroom in a bowl. Once you’ve incorporated the mixture well into the water, you can now pour the mixture into the pan. Bring your dish to a boil and continue cooking uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes.
For the final rest of this creamy beef and mushroom recipe, season your dish with salt and ground black pepper. Sprinkle with parsley, remove from the stove – Et voilà! Your dish is ready to enjoy! Be sure to serve it with warm rice before sharing.
With its filling juiciness and creamy flavors, this beef and mushroom dish is a winner! Let us know what you and your family think.
