Quick and easy homemade pizza dough recipe
Homemade pizza dough doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming! Before, when I didn’t have time to make my favorite pizza dough, I relied on Greek flatbread or store-bought pizza dough. These options are fine for a quick and easy dinner, but not nearly as filling.
Then came this pizza dough recipe. I was skeptical. A food processor? No kneading or rising? And that in just 5 minutes?? It sounded too good to be true. Sure, it looked quick and easy. But was it good? I was so thrilled to find that not only was it really quick and easy, but it was GOOD. Not just “this is fit for a 5 minute pizza crust,” but the kind of treat that will have you all hooked and eager to tell all your friends about it. Are you ready?

Ingredients you will need for this quick and easy pizza dough:
- Very warm water– The temperature of the water is important for the activation of the yeast.
- olive oil– We like the taste of olive oil in our pizza dough, but you can use any neutral-flavored oil.
- Yeast– We used active dry yeast, but you can also use instant yeast.
- Sugar– The sugar helps to nourish the yeast. You can also use honey.
- Flour– We used bread flour, you can also use all-purpose or whole wheat flour.
- parmesan cheese– Freshly grated parmesan is delicious here, but pre-grated parmesan also works.
- Salt– Salt is very important for the overall taste of your bread dough.

Here’s how to make super quick and easy pizza dough:
- activate yeast. In a small bowl or liquid measuring cup, combine the water, sugar, oil, and yeast. Whisk to combine. Set aside and let the mixture foam up.
- Mix the dry ingredients together. Place the flour, Parmesan cheese, and salt in the bowl of a stand mixer. Pulse to combine.
- Add the liquid and make your batter. With the food processor running, slowly pour in the yeast mixture. Continue processing until the mixture comes together and forms a shaggy ball. This can take about a minute.
- Roll out the dough. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface. Knead a few times to form a ball of dough. Halve the dough. Roll out the dough quickly to form a circle about 27 cm in diameter. Carefully place the dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza pan.
- Use immediately! This batter really tastes best when used right away! You can refrigerate the dough and use it within 3-5 days, wrapping tightly in plastic wrap if needed.

Super quick and easy pizza dough
This easy pizza dough recipe is not only super quick and insanely easy, it is incredibly delicious!! With just a handful of ingredients, 5 minutes, and a food processor, you can make deliciously thin and chewy pizza dough that tastes just as good as a pizza joint.
Servings: 2 medium pizzas
Calories: 103kcal
- 1 Cup very warm water feels almost hot
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoon dry yeast or instant yeast
- 2 3/4 cups bread flour
- 1/4 Cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Salt
-
Preheat your oven to 475℉.
-
In a small bowl, add water, oil, sugar and yeast. Let it rise until it starts to bubble – this should take about 5 minutes or less. If the mixture doesn’t get fluffy and bubbly, it probably means your yeast is no longer good.
-
Place the flour, Parmesan cheese, and salt in the bowl of a stand mixer. Pulse until well mixed. Turn on the food processor and slowly pour in the yeast mixture. Let it run until the mixture starts to form a ball of dough. It’s okay if it looks shaggy.
-
Pour the dough onto a lightly floured surface and cut into two even halves. Flatten the ball of dough into a disk with the palm of your hand. Using a rolling pin, roll out the disk from the center to the edge, turning the dough each time you roll it to form an even circle. The end circle should be about 11 inches in diameter.
-
Transfer the dough circle to a pizza pan or pizza stone. Add pizza sauce, then cheese, then your favorite toppings.
-
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown and cheese is blistering and melted in center of pizza.
-
This makes enough dough for 2 medium-sized pizzas. This dough is best prepared fresh and really only takes 15 minutes! You can refrigerate the dough and use it within 3-5 days, wrapping tightly in plastic wrap if needed.
