HOT FUDGE SAUCE – The Southern Lady Cooks

Hot Fudge Sauce—The Southern Lady Cooks

Hot fudge sauce is so good and I can eat this sauce with a spoon. It stays in the fridge. Just warm it up in the microwave. This hot fudge sauce is great on sundaes, banana splits, brownies and cakes. I slice bananas and eat them with this sauce on top. If you’re a chocolate lover like me, you’ll LOVE ALL of this! This hot fudge sauce will keep in the fridge for about a week and is great for pouring over any type of dessert.

Simple Hot Fudge Sauce Ingredients:

cocoa

White sugar

whipped cream

Salt

butter

vanilla flavor

Such simple ingredients and yet such a wonderful sauce! People often ask what the difference is between fudge hot sauce and chocolate syrup. Well, for one, the consistency is thicker and the sauce has a richer flavor. Hot fudge sauce is much thicker than the syrup. Also, the sauce will become cold and thick in the fridge and the syrup will retain a much thinner consistency. You can easily heat this sauce in the microwave! It reminds me so much of melted fudge. If you’ve been following our site for a while, you know we love it 5 Minute Fudge!

If you love peanut butter and chocolate, I highly recommend topping some peanut butter ice cream with this delicious sauce. What a delicious treat!

This sauce will keep in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3 weeks!
