Tips for the best White Chocolate Funfetti Rice Krispie Treats
Rice Krispie Treats are one of the easiest desserts to make at home, but I like to consider myself a rice krispie treat expert. These are my three fail-safe tips for getting perfectly soft and gooey rice krispie treats every time.
- Don’t overcook the marshmallows. This is the worst mistake you can make when it comes to making rice krispie treats. If you cook the marshmallows for too long, they’ll get SUPER gooey, which can make your bars almost painfully chewy (it’ll still be delicious, but it’ll give you jaw-dropping
- Work fast. The only tricky thing about marshmallow bars is that if the melted marshmallows start to harden, they can get sticky and difficult to work with very quickly. I recommend working quickly so it’s easy to fold everything up and get in your pan!
- Don’t mix the bars too much after adding the sprinkles and chocolate: Sprinkles can crumble into a colorful mess and white chocolate can melt too much if you stir your rice krispie treats too much. Just fold the mixture together until things are evenly distributed before adding to your pan!
- Squeeze extra chocolate chips and sprinkles onto your bars: I like to squeeze a few extra stir-ins on top of the rice krispies just for display purposes! But they are delicious too 🙂
Happy baking!
