These Roasted Potatoes with Onion Soup make a great side dish for any meal. They are so simple and I bet your family will love them. You can make this recipe your own by adding extra spices, or you can even add more veggies to this dish. You can also add kielbasa or smoked sausage. I love that they don’t take long to make for dinner on a busy weeknight, and the soup mix adds a delicious flavor to them.

Onion Soup Fried Potatoes
These delicious fried potatoes are super easy to make. They would be a great addition to any meal.
Servings: 4 portions
- 2 Pound Potatoes or about 5 or 6 medium potatoes You can use any type of potato.
- 1/3 Cup olive oil
- 1 Mix envelope dry onion soup
- 1 teaspoon black pepper Optional
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Optional
-
Wash unpeeled potatoes and cut into pieces. I make 2 bowls and toss potatoes in olive oil and then onion soup mix whisked with black pepper and garlic powder.
-
Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Spread potatoes on sheet pan and bake in preheated 425 degree oven for about 40 minutes or until nicely browned and cooked through. After 20 minutes turn the potatoes with the spatula.
I don’t add salt because the onion soup has salt in it, but you can add any spices you like.
