Brazilian alt meat brand Future Farm has launched a new and improved version of its plant-based Future Burger in the UK.
Described as “revolutionary”, the soy and pea-based Future Burger 4.0 has the same amount of protein as its predecessor, but is gluten-free and lower in salt and saturated fat. Future Farm’s True Texture Technologyâ„¢ is used to give the burger an authentic meaty texture and the product is completely carbon-neutral.
“We are constantly evolving the product range based on consumer feedback”
Future Burger 4.0 is now available in 345 Tesco stores, along with the brand’s tuna alternative, Future TVina. It marks the first time that Future Farm products have been stocked in the UK’s largest supermarket chain, after previously launching in Sainsbury’s and Ocado.

global brand
Just a few years after it first launched in Brazil, Future Farm now has a presence in many countries worldwide, rolling out to US retailers including Sprouts Farmers Market and Amazon Fresh last year. The brand also expanded into Australia in 2022, launching in 700 Coles stores.
In 2021, the previous iteration of the Future Burger won the Grocer’s Best Vegan and Plant Burger award in the UK. Future Farm has now revealed that it plans to expand beyond alt meat into several other categories, including milk alternatives, plant-based cheeses, and vegan honey.
“At Future Farm, we are constantly evolving the product range based on consumer feedback,” said Jack Reid, Future Farm’s EMEA APAC Sales Director. “Besides the health benefits, we know taste is important to our customers. Burger 4.0 allows people to enjoy a tasty, juicy burger that is a healthier choice than other options on the market.”
