Creamy, rich, chocolatey Nutella ice cream with a melt-in-your-mouth Nutella swirl is a dreamy way to satisfy your sweet tooth this summer — or this fall, or winter, or pretty much any time of year, if you’re me.

Nutella ice cream is what happens when I’m in the mood for something sweet, stand in front of the pantry and my eyes fall on that jar of Nutella that my kids haven’t discovered yet.
Luckily for all of us ice cream addicts, there’s always plenty of whipped cream and milk on hand when the need strikes. With just over a few minutes of stirring, I had this ice cream base chilled in the fridge while figuring out how to finish it once it was churned.
Nutella ice cream
Inspired by the peanut butter ice cream and magic bowl we’ve been making over and over again for years, I swirled a variation of the magic Nutella bowl into this ice cream. While not technically required, I highly recommend it.
And while we’re on the subject of “not necessary, but oh so damn good,” I reheated the last of our peanut butter ice cream toppings and tossed it into a second batch of this Nutella Ice Cream Nutella Swirl. I gave a friend a spoon and the ice cream can last week and her reaction was absolutely priceless.
I think her words were something like, “What in the name of holy ice cream magic is that?!” Yes, it’s magic. And I bet you will think so too.
