Food technology company Alamance Foods has announced the launch of Whipt – a new dairy-free alternative to traditional whipped cream. Available in three varieties – coconut, almond and oat, Whippet can be found in the US Select Lidl, Woodman’s Market and Walmart locations.
“Whipt offers three benefits: it’s dairy-free, gluten-free and guilt-free.”
Sold in a classic steel canister, Whipt is described as a “good alternative” to dairy-based whipped cream that can be enjoyed by both adults and children. Whipt’s gluten-free flavor has three protein bases:
oat – A vanilla-flavored cream to top oat milk lattes or any hot drink
nuts – Features a nutty, marzipan-like flavor that contrasts with hot chocolate and more
coconut – For decorating pies and cakes – any dessert can also be a milk substitute

According to the company, Whippet’s products come in recyclable steel cans and Almonds, oats and coconut use much less water and emit fewer greenhouse gases than conventional dairy products.
Based in North Carolina, Alamance Foods produces a range of iconic snack brands, including Fun Pops and Happy Drinks. According to Data Bridge Market Research, the company is expected to grow the global market for whipped cream to USD $1268.53 million by 2029.

“same taste”
“When vegans consciously adopt a vegetarian lifestyle, they lose access to many products that they previously enjoyed,” says Mohan Valluri, vice-president of sales and product development at Alamance Foods. “Despite switching to a vegan lifestyle, Whipped offers an option that closely resembles the flavor of whipped cream. In addition to having the same delicious taste and soft texture as whipped cream, Whipped offers the three benefits of being dairy-free, gluten-free and guilt-free. The taste is such that there is no aftertaste and it goes with almost all dishes.”
