Tools for success

burnt dish
You will need to use a baking dish or sheet pan to make your burgers. The goal is to place parchment paper down or a silicone baking mat to create a nonstick surface.
Skillet
Reach for a medium to large skillet so you’re going to have room to roast your vegetables. I find that quality skillets will produce an even heat and you won’t accidentally burn your veggies.
potato masher
If you don’t want to use a spoon or fork to mash your black beans, I’ve found a great item to use is a potato masher. It works quickly to mash the beans to the perfect texture.
Tips for Black Bean Burger Recipe

Saute vegetables to taste
When you take the time to roast your vegetables you will release a lot of flavor in your vegetables. This is really going to enhance all the flavors of the vegetables which will enhance the flavor of your bean burger.
Even size burgers
Make sure you divide the mixture evenly and make burgers of the same size. Otherwise, you may find that some of your burgers may be dry and overcooked while others may be cooked perfectly.
A variation on the vegan burger recipe

Seasoning
So I went with the chipotle flavor for this vegan burger, but was hesitant to play around with the spices to create flavor variations. It’s a great base for a burger and if you want to switch up the spices, go for it.
vegetables
Want to use some of the products in your product drawer? Feel free to change the vegetables used in this recipe. Remember that changing the vegetables will change the taste. The key is to cut into smaller pieces for even flavor in your burger. Zucchini or chili would make a great addition.
