Let’s face it: vegan travel can be terrifying. From road trips to flights, you need to make sure you pack vegan travel food because you never know what you might find in the wild. We spent years traveling as vegetarians around the world from SE Asia to Europe to Africa and beyond. So, when it comes to which snacks to pack vegan, we’ve got you covered.

Fortunately, vegetarian travel has definitely gotten easier over the years thanks to vegetarian tours and vegan tour operators. But, you still have to reach your destination. And that’s where this handy list comes in.

Grapes, carrot sticks, bananas, salads (you get the point) are great vegan travel meals. They will tolerate not being refrigerated for flight. Plus, they make a healthy snack.

Almonds are always a good vegetarian snack when you are traveling. You retain water when you fly with salty foods like nuts, so make sure you drink plenty of water if they are salty.
