1. Sushi factory
Located on a side street south of Polaris, the family-run Sushi Factory has quickly become one of our sushi favorites. The service is always friendly and although the extensive menu takes some time to navigate, we haven’t had a bad bite. Just for fun, get one of the sushi towers!

2. Tapatia Square
This west side Mexican supermarket, bakery and restaurant moved to a great new location last year. It’s great for grocery shopping, picking up sweets like candy and popsicles, grabbing coffee, and sampling ready-to-eat or take-out foods: chilaquiles, tons of ceviches, fresh salsas, tamales, you name it. Don’t miss the bakery aisle!

3. Maple Street Biscuit Co.
This chain, which originated in Jacksonville, Florida, just opened its first Ohio location outside of Polaris. The menu is full of creative interpretations of Southern comfort food: waffles, chicken tenders, biscuit sandwiches drenched in sausage gravy.

4. Buck City Sammies
Columbus enjoys tons of great sandwiches, and the Buck City gang just started popping up at East Market Tuesday through Sunday. Their towering sandwiches come with names like The Classy Lady, The Peggy Sue, The Southern Belle.

5. Two Brothers Tacos
Dos Hermanos, which has a food truck and stands at both North Markets, just opened a beautiful new stand-alone space in Easton. They have a full liquor license and a menu that spans all of your Oaxacan-style favorites.
