Pin this list of vegan Easter recipes to save for later!
Well Easter just snuck up on me. One day is January 1, and the next day is spring! Where did the time go?
Honestly, I’m totally happy about Easter and springtime. That means long days, warm weather, beautiful flowers and Easter brunch! Now that I have a daughter I am in love with the idea of creating food traditions in our family. Starting this holiday I will be making a few recipes from this list of delicious vegan Easter recipes, and I hope you will too!
What should I do for Easter?
My first question is always, what recipe should I make for our vegan Easter celebration? Since I always wait until the last minute, it can be something simple with ingredients I already have in my kitchen. This list is made up of those types of recipes.
As a non-religious person, Easter to me is a celebration of spring. After months of short and cold days, I crave food that celebrates the color and life of this new season. When I think of a recipe perfect for Easter I think of something that is colorful, definitely seasonal and fresh. I’ve divided my list of vegetarian Easter recipes into 4 categories to help you find the perfect dish to brighten up your table.
What do vegetarians eat for Easter?
We eat what we want! But you won’t find any vegan peeps or chocolate bunnies in this post–although that would be adorable! I love veganizing the foods I grew up with and they made it onto my list: Sweet Potato Biscuits, Vegan Crab Cakes, Vegan Mac and Cheese, Sweet Potato Waffles, Cinnamon Rolls, and Home Fries!
I want to give a shout out to my cookbook, Sweet Potato Soul, because she’s full of more recipes that are perfect for this special holiday, like Vegan Grits, Oyster Mushroom Etafi, and Sweet Potato Donuts 😉
Easter Brunch and Breakfast Recipes
The Easter meal is a big hearty brunch right after church. In my family it always happened around 2pm, which is totally just lunch, but hey, we treated it like brunch! Whether you’re making an Easter breakfast or brunch, this list has the recipes you’re looking for

Easter Salad and Sides
If you are having an Easter brunch or lunch, I highly recommend balancing out all the sweets with a fresh and healthy salad or two. Sunflower Caesar Salad (pictured below) tastes like spring! So do Orange Miso Glazed Sweet Potatoes, a delicious and unique take on candied yams.
Vegan Easter Dessert Recipes
Want more vegan desserts this Easter? Yes me too! You know I love my healthy dessert options, so I want to highlight raw carrot cake. If you’re in the mood for chocolate, don’t sleep on the Chocolate Oatmilk Tart (pictured below). For a bite-sized treat, sweet potato macaroons are your best bet!
Easter Lunch and Dinner Recipes
Easter may be all about brunch, but you still have to eat dinner. If you’re in the mood for something fun, try the green chile enchiladas or the vegan crab cakes. If you want to go the traditional route, make lentils. And if you’re after something a little fancier––think restaurant entrees––you’ll love Whole Roasted Cauliflower Piccatta.
