It sometimes seems like an impossible task to get everyone washed, dressed, eaten and out the door on time.
And so it’s not surprising that we often resort to the same simple breakfasts that we’ve been serving for what feels like forever!

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! With a little meal prep, you can serve up a whole new repertoire of healthy breakfast ideas without the stress!
All of these breakfast recipes can be made ahead and kept in the fridge or freezer and are perfect for getting your little one off to a good start!
Mini pancake bites
I made these sheet pancakes These mini pancake bites have been an absolute favorite with the kids for a few years now. Make a double batch of pancake batter and you’ll have plenty ready to freeze to make on-demand!

Baked Berry Oat Bars
These deliciously soft oat bars are packed with healthy ingredients and are perfect served with fresh fruit and yoghurt.
Make a batch of these and they’ll keep in the fridge for up to three days. Alternatively, you can freeze them in the fridge overnight and thaw them so they’re ready for breakfast the next morning.

Overnight oats with strawberries and white chocolate
Overnight Oat Recipes are great breakfast options to make ahead as there are so many different flavor combinations to try and they are really easy to make and then store in the fridge. I made this recipe a little more special though, with a white chocolate shell on top! Still healthy but a bit fun and indulgent for kids!

Breakfast Frozen Yogurt Bark
Frozen yogurt crusts have been around for years and this Raspberry Ripple Frozen Yogurt Crust always goes down very well with my children and their friends in the summer.
With summer just around the corner and warmer weather on the horizon, I wanted to come up with a breakfast version of one of her favorite summertime snacks.
My Breakfast Frozen Yogurt Bark has a novelty factor that kids will love but is packed with wholesome ingredients.

Chocolate Raspberry Pancakes
Since our weaning time, banana pancake were a huge hit at our house so I’ve expanded on one of my earliest recipes to create these Chocolate Raspberry Pancakes now that these kids are a little older.
Although seemingly delicious, these pancakes are actually a really healthy and hearty breakfast that will keep the kids full for hours.
Make a batch of this at the weekend, then freeze it for a full weeknight breakfast.

Coconut and Almond Breakfast Bars
These bars are packed with oatmeal, which is great for slow-release energy and is also high in fiber.
The coconut flakes give them a slightly tropical feel, perfect for summer.
They’re sweetened with bananas and a little honey, and contain healthy vegetable fats from almond butter and coconut milk.
Make a large batch of these and pop them in the freezer!

Blueberry Lemon Weetabix Muffins
If your kids aren’t granola fans, then these healthy muffins could be the solution so they can enjoy all the whole grains, vitamins, and iron that’s in Weetabix!
Store them in the freezer and thaw overnight if needed. The perfect make-ahead breakfast, served with a side of yogurt and fresh fruit!

Breakfast cookies with fruits and nuts
These breakfast cookies are one of our favorite breakfasts on busy mornings!
If you’re unsure about cookies for the kids for breakfast, rest assured that these cookies are also packed with slow-release carbohydrates and fiber.
Perfect for filling little tummies at breakfast!

Strawberry Quinoa Breakfast Bar
A delicious and filling breakfast bar recipe packed with healthy ingredients like quinoa, oats, bananas and fresh strawberries.
These bars are the perfect nutritious start to the day for the whole family and a great on-the-go breakfast!

Simple muesli from the microwave
I know that you can easily buy cereal at the supermarket or grocery store. Boy, that stuff is expensive these days!
We eat a lot of muesli at our house and four of us can easily use up a bag of muesli in a week!
This homemade granola is not only cheaper, it only takes 5 minutes and you can customize it to suit your kids’ granola!

Prepare breakfast smoothie pouches ahead of time
When I’m looking for a quick breakfast, I like to grab smoothies.
They’re an excellent way to incorporate loads of healthy and nutritious fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and even grains (that would otherwise refuse on a plate!) into your child’s diet.
But measuring out all the ingredients and chopping up fruits and veggies can be time-consuming when the morning is already hectic.
So over the weekend, gather some of these smoothie bags together and pop them in the freezer for use for the week ahead!

Fruity breakfast muffins
One of my favorite breakfast ideas are muffins!
Made with whole wheat flour and rolled oats, these muffins are sure to fill kids up and stay full through lunchtime.
They also contain yogurt for a protein boost and are sweetened only with bananas and a little honey.
Prepare these over the weekend and then have them ready to serve during the week!

Peach Quinoa Breakfast Bar
These bars are made with oats and quinoa and canned or canned peach slices, making them really filling and the perfect healthy way to start the day for the whole family.
You can then store them in the fridge for up to three days and have them on hand in the morning for a to-go breakfast.
You can also freeze them for up to 6 weeks and let them thaw overnight. If you don’t want to eat them cold, you can easily reheat them in the microwave.

Healthy Chocolate Breakfast Cookies
I’m sure most kids would agree that there’s no better way to start the day than with a cookie!
Predominantly made from oats, these cookies are packed with slow-release carbohydrates that will keep you and your little ones full until lunchtime.
They also contain a ton of super nutritious ingredients, including flaxseed, goji berries, pumpkin, sunflower, and chia seeds, making these cookies quite possibly the healthiest cookies I’ve ever eaten!

Bacon, Cheese and Chive Egg Muffins
If your kids prefer a hearty breakfast, these egg muffins are a great way to get eggs on the menu in minutes!
They will keep in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days, so they can be prepared ahead of time.
Serve with chopped fruit and veggies for the kids and fresh avocado for the adults!
